We are pleased to announce our Breathe With me care program. Circle of Angels Hospice has implemented this program which allows our nurses the opportunity to care for your loved one and manage acute Respiratory Symptoms in the home.
How We Manage Respiratory Symptoms
Circle of Angels Hospice Care Managers receive specialized respiratory training to assess our patients for altered pattern in breathing and provide symptom control in the home.
We will provide respiratory medication in a “comfort kits” to our patients. The medications we use are the same as the ones used in the Emergency Room: Bronchodilators (Albuterol, Atrovent), Steroids (Prednisone, Solumedrol, administered by a nurse), oxygen concentrator and a humidifier.
We will also provide patient-specific educational material on oxygen safety, medication management, and acute symptom management.
The Team
A primary care nurse will be assigned. This nurse will be responsible for coordination of patient care through Circle of Angels Hospice Interdisciplinary Team or the patient’s physician.
In the event of an emergency, our nursing staff is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and on holidays.
